Dr. Alldred and Ms. Westafer’s Environmental Awareness Club has been making a difference this month by recycling another 930 plastic bottles! They are at a grand total of 2,077 out of their goal of 6,000 bottles for this school year!




Mrs. Westafer's classes are enjoying their studies about Genetics. Last week they built candy models and then opened cells to extract real DNA.




Lumpkin County Band of Gold made GRAND CHAMPIONS at the Berkmar Marching Invitational this past Saturday placing first overall.

Yesterday, Riley Ray took his Automotive students to visit Lanier Tech. Students learned more about how to successfully pursue high-demand careers in the transportation industry. Students were able to ask questions and speak to former graduate, Coleman Sullens, about his success in the program.




Bryan Hartzog from North Georgia Technical College HVAC Program visited Mr Bearinger’s construction students yesterday regarding opportunities in the refrigeration industry. Bryan was accompanied by LCHS graduate David Dillon who is a student of Bryan’s program that demonstrated the refrigeration cycle using a cut away model.
