Do you want to be a part of something big?! LCHS is currently seeking sponsors for the Aim-Achieve-Arrive Center. Any amount is appreciated to help them reach their goal of $10,000 (they are almost halfway to their goal now).

The AAA Center will serve students by preparing them for internships, apprenticeships, and careers. Your donation will go directly to purchasing clothing for interviews and jobs.
The AAA Center grand opening and ribbon cutting is March 11th. All sponsors will be recognized with their name or business displayed on a plaque in the Center.

Lumpkin Co. FFA Livestock team wrapped up their show season at the State Show in Perry, Ga this past weekend. Our team included 22 heifers and 8 pigs shown by 26 exhibitors from LCMS and LCHS.

Mr. Win Crannell visited the visual arts classes today. He shared his artwork and his career. He led the class in a group drawing of a large tree while students also created individual drawings. We appreciate Mr. Crannell's willingness to share his talents with us each year.

Congrats to our LC Fishing Team! Jake Barrett and Cooper McDonald won the GHSF Tournament on Lake Lanier this weekend and Scooter Ligon and Caleb Childs finished third place. Way to represent, fishermen!

The LC Fire Department responded and cleared us to allow students and staff to re-enter. All are safe and back to learning on this Friday afternoon. Have a great weekend!

LCHS is currently evacuated due to smoke in a vacated classroom setting off our fire alarm. All students and staff are safe. We are awaiting the all clear from the fire department before we allow students and staff back in to the building. We anticipate that all-clear in the next ten minutes.

Congratulations to Coach Dowse and the Lady Indians on their region championship tonight!!

Bailey Bogue, a member of LUmpkin County’s FFA and the Lumpkin Co. Show team wrote an essay for the American Red Poll Association which was published in their Beef Journal. Great job Bailey! Many thanks to Mr. Greg Murray and Mr. Sumner Sapough for teaching our agricultural students and helping them pursue their passion!

Kindness is the character Ed word of the month and it was in abundance today as FCCLA and Mrs. Hunsinger’s Education classes hosted neighboring classes for Valentine themed learning stations. Math and sensory experiences along with some Valentine “mailing” made for a great morning yesterday. The day was wrapped up with some smiles at the selfie station and a dance party.

Lumpkin County AgEd, in coordination with the LC FFA Alumni, brought back the annual Heifers in the Hills show! We are very proud of all the work in AgEd in Lumpkin County, and we applaud the hardworking students who showed their cows today!

Our Mock Trial Teams were in action this weekend, and we want our community to see the fruits of their hard work! You are invited to come out to any of the dates and watch them live on the big screen!
