
Both Girls and Boys Tennis teams punched their ticket for the GHSA State Tennis Tournament on Tuesday, March 29. Seniors Hannah Davis, Karen Harris, Cady Geddings, and Carly Sosebee all scored wins over East Forsyth High School securing the girl's spot in the state tournament. The young boys team also defeated East Forsyth to advance into the state tournament for the second year in a row. Go Indians!




Hats off to Mrs Cadie Barron for making British Literature come alive for these seniors last week at Medieval Times! It was a GREAT day to be an Indian!





UNG hosted a Health Science Career Tour for 25 of our healthcare students. What an incredible day for these students who enjoyed a tour of Chelsey Park and UNG’s PT and Nursing programs.

Congratulations to Cooper Scott for being named the VanKeith Insurance Agency Player of The Week for March 6th – March 12th. In the three game series against White County, Cooper batted .333 with a Double and a RBI. Keep up the good work as we go through region play.


Teaching As A Profession students toured Truett MCConnell College today with College of Education students and professors. Hope Foster, a 2018 LCHS graduate, is a Truett McConnell senior Education major and was one of their tour guides. LCHS students had an excellent opportunity to see what campus life is like.


We were just notified that a fiber line has been cut between Lumpkin County and Atlanta causing phone outages for all our schools and district office. We do not have an estimated time of the current outage, but we hope it is resolved soon!

LCHS Mock Trial Team made us proud at State Competitions this past weekend. Our students competed in 3 Rounds of Trials followed by an Awards Ceremony where the following students were recognized:
Thomas Stephens and Courtney Voss received Outstanding Witnesses Awards;
Thomas Stephens and Zoe Anderson were admitted to the State Student Bar Association for Student Attorneys; and
Michael Ostertag was recognized for winning the Courtroom Artist award during Regions. Congratulations to our entire Mock Trial Team! #GoIndians.





Today LCHS provided students with an OUTSTANDING character education conversation from our very own Coach Nguyen. Students were motivated to work toward achieving success by adjusting their mindset, grit, and sheer determination. It is a great day to be an Indian! #GoIndians
