Lumpkin FBLA members performed amazingly at FBLA State! With 9 out of the 30 competing members placing in the top 10! Kira May placed 8th in Human Resource Management. Ansley Dover placed 10th in Agribusiness. Catherine Swistek placing 5th in Introduction to Social Media Strategies and Tori May placing 6th in Future Business Leader. The following students will represent LCHS at FBLA Nationals in Chicago. Jaedyn Gerrells placing 3rd in Intro to Business Procedures. Kelly Cronan, Will Edwards and Abbie Hilchie in Business Management, Luke Schofield placing 1st in Help Desk and 3rd in Business Calculations. LCHS won 3rd for the number of overall competition wins for our division. LCHS was awarded the distinction of Superior Chapter and placed 4th overall in the state!! It has been an incredible year for our organization!! I am humbled to be a part of our members incredible successes!


This week, Teaching as a Profession classes hosted their 30th speaker of the 2021-22 school year. These educators and education field professionals have provided valuable insight into the profession. The TAP program is for those interested in teaching Pre-k through college, administration, counseling, athletic coaching and speech therapy.

These kids have been killing it in the classroom and on the wrestling mat!

Ms. Zdroba's French III students spent time last week learning and celebrating Mardi Gras by making masks and Jester hats. If you are interested in learning a language and experiencing a new culture, consider signing up for French Class next school year!

LCHS Track started the season off in a dominant fashion as it traveled to West Hall High School. Lumpkin finished 1st overall with combined boys and girls score. The woman’s team took first after more than doubling the second place team score! LCHS broke 3 school records yesterday taking first in 13 different events.
The most outstanding player was senior team captain Mercedes Housman. Housman took first place in all four of her events: 100m dash, long jump, triple jump, and the 4x100.
Lumpkin looks to continue its winning ways next week @ Gilmer County.




LCHS hosted the Lumpkin Leadership Class of 2022 today. More than 30 business and industry leaders from our community spent their day integrating with students, learning content, creating artifacts, and enjoying our one-of-a-kind deluxe salad bar school lunch. We were proud to showcase our school, cafe, teachers, and student body. They left our building with a better understanding about our mission; to educate and empower life-long learners. Today was a great day to be an Indian!

As a part of National FFA Week, the LCHS FFA chapter gave all faculty and staff a package of pork today in an effort to “Strengthen Agriculture”. The LCHS TR1BE can taste the work that Ag students have put into raising the hogs that were processed locally at The Steel Buffalo Butchery. It has been a GREAT day to be an Indian!
