We are excited to announce that 5th grade students are eligible to apply for membership to the CES Book Club! 

Book Club is a fantastic opportunity for students to sharpen leadership skills, develop collaborative techniques, share reading experiences, and apply reading comprehension to competitive challenges with peers.

Students meet in the CES Library Media Center each month to discuss books read—some assigned and some free-choice. Students are also provided with a small snack after school.

Some planned activities may take place off-campus. For off-campus activities, an activity bus will be provided by the Lumpkin County School System. Parents will be responsible for picking up their child at the front office entrance of CES or a designated activity area. A reminder will be sent to parents prior to each meeting via School Status. All club meetings will take place from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m.

We want students to expand their love for reading to become lifelong readers in the community of Dahlonega.
